Coraline Animated
I'm sure most of you have heard of the release of Coraline, and if you've seen the trailer you'll quickly understand that it is by no means entertainment for the little ones in your life
It features a very dark, but vivid storyline of a girl (Coraline, voiced over by Dakota Fanning) who is constantly looking for something exciting in her life. Little did she realize, she manages to find a gateway hidden in her home to an alternate universe where everything is perfect. Or so it appears.
The movie from that point on very quickly takes a turn towards the imagination of the dark and the utopian appearances upon intial discovery gradually diminsh and the ulterior motives are discovered.
Without spoiling it, it's a great adult oriented animation, which is something that is clearly lacking these days. Moreover, its an excellent change to see animation from the highly 3D-centric flicks these days, back to a stop motion claymation that is rapidly losing grounds against the highly synthetic techniques of 3D animation.
